Mabalacat City
The Northern Gateway & Global Aviation Hub
Our Beginnings
The name Mabalacat comes from the Balacat tree, which grew in abundance when the town was founded by the Negritos in 1712. For over two centuries, it remained a peaceful agricultural community until the establishment of Fort Stotsenburg (which later became Clark Air Base), forever linking the city's destiny to international aviation and defense.
Mabalacat made history in 2012 by officially becoming the third city of Pampanga. Today, it serves as the primary landlord of the Clark Freeport Zone. It is a city that has mastered the art of transformation, evolving from a forested settlement into one of the most important logistics and transportation hubs in Southeast Asia.
The Mabalacat Lifestyle
Life in Mabalacat is defined by global standards. It’s the perfect spot for those who want the speed of city life paired with the open space of a master-planned community.
